Login System Overhaul
Hey, Bloxtsarians!
Bloxtsar's login system just got a major overhaul. This wasn't something I originally planned or wanted to do, but it ended up being necessary to meet mobile app platform requirements.
As part of this update, you can now sign in/sign up with:
- Apple
- Twitch
- Discord (without needing to link a Roblox account first)
- Email (via OTP)
Since Bloxtsar is still built around Roblox, a Roblox account is still required. If you sign in using Apple, Google, Twitch, Discord, or Email, you'll simply be asked to link your Roblox account during onboarding.
For existing users: if you sign in with one of these new providers and then link the Roblox account that already exists on Bloxtsar (and that provider isn't already linked to another account), it'll automatically attach that login method to your existing account. Your account, data, and subscriptions will all stay exactly where they are.
This change was mostly driven by Apple's requirements, but I think it'll end up being a nice improvement overall by giving everyone more ways to access their account.
